Ride for the Brand gave hope, love
To the editor:
People, it does “suck” out there, but I just experienced one of the greatest rays of hope and love to help this world make it through.
I cannot say enough to thank all of you who give your energy, time and most of all your love to everyone who attended the “Ride for the Brand — Americans with Disabilities” program. This effort may have been an idea of one or two people, but the results would not have been as rewarding without each and every one of you pitching in. We made this event a successful showing of love. At times it may have been “tough love,” but all the same. It was love. God bless each and every one of you.
Facebook may be the “means” of communication in today’s world, but it cannot replace the best means of communication there is: the smile, the laugh, the tear and most of all the hug.
Many of us were brought back to reality and realized it during the Ride for the Brand program that ended just recently. Yes, there are a lot of things that you can do with a box, keyboard and computer screen, but you really do not see the feelings in one’s heart and soul through the keyboard like you do when holding someone’s hand. I think everyone attending enjoyed it and had a good time participating in this event. As I watched and helped some of the participants, I really needed to stop and think just who this program was really helping? I feel as if I got as much of a reward out of this program as anyone.
Thank all of you who contributed to the Ride for the Brand program, gave your time and most of all gave your love to help fulfill the “dreams” of many very dear and precious people. I feel these souls helped me as much as I helped them.
God bless, and get rested up for the Ride for the Brand 2016 program.
